My Girl Scout journey began as a Brownie and continued for 10 wonderful years, shaping many of the values and skills I carry with me today. Now, as a troop leader and Service Unit volunteer, I have the incredible opportunity to give back to an organization that gave so much to me. I love creating meaningful experiences where girls can build confidence, develop leadership skills, serve their communities, and discover that they are capable of more than they ever imagined. It is my pleasure to serve alongside such passionate volunteers and help ensure every girl has the same life-changing opportunities that made my own Girl Scout experience so memorable.

I signed my girls up for Girl Scouts the year after Covid looking for something they could enjoy together, in the air conditioning. I told myself loudly that I would not get involved or volunteer.
I am now going into my third year of being a troop leader. I love seeing the girls get to experience new fun things and watch their sister bond grow between them.
I am looking forward to being part of the service unit team to help strengthen the Girl Scout Experience for the Girls and Volunteers of the Greater Waco Area.

I’ve been involved with Girl Scouts for about 12 years, transitioned into a leader role about 6 years ago, and this is my 3rd year as SU Fall Product Coordinator. Being an adult member and seeing the difference we make in girls’ lives is so amazing. They are the reason we volunteer and strive to make Girl Scouts a great place for them.
